Description

Bakhoor Anfas ar-Rabia โ€“ Original Daqat al Balushi Incense is a refreshing traditional incense typically crafted by the Balushi tribe of Oman. This blend includes ingredients such as operculum, sandalwood, rose petals, gum arabica, and mahaleb cherry stones, which are infused with an all-natural perfume oil blend derived from fine Indian herbs.

Operculum has stabilizing and fixative properties which enhance the other scents in the incense. It also has had a wide range of applications in traditional Indian, Chinese, Greek, and Middle Eastern medicine. Some of the diseases it was used to treat include arthritis, stomach ulcers, skin diseases, teeth problems, eye and ear diseases, tumors, epilepsy, and paralysis. The smoke of the incense was frequently used to help dislodge the placenta after labor.

Sandalwood incense has long been loved for its smooth, soft, and sweet odor. It is also used for promoting healthy sleep, lowering systolic blood pressure, speeding the healing of wounds, and as an anti-inflammatory. Rose is an anti-fungal, anti-bacterial, anti-depressant, and can enhance the sex drive and ease pain. Gum arabica is a tree resin known for helping regulate appetite and weight, improving digestion, and soothing coughs and sore throats.

It also acts as a fixative, enhancing the scent of the incense. Mahaleb cherry stones are the seeds of the Mahaleb cherry tree, a type of cherry tree native to the Middle East. The stone is valued as a medicine for strengthening the immune system and body, improving circulation, and treating shortness of breath, and abdominal pain, and some believe it is beneficial in the treatment of cancer.
